IN response to what he deemed a rehearsal for war, Kim Jong-un oversaw a test of a strategic cruise missiles.
According to Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the North Korean leader went to a navy fleet stationed at the East Coast, Kim said the ship would maintain high mobility and striking power together with its readiness for sudden combat.
The latest missile launch by North Korea was said to be an answer the summer exercise between its rival countries South Korea and the US dubbing it as rehearsal for war.
On the other hand, South Korea confirmed the launches however, the South also added that the claims and report given by KCNA were “exaggerated”.
Meanwhile South Korea boast that this year’s drill will be its largest ever as it will be joined by a ten thousand strong troops from both sides as well as some members of the states of the United Nation command.
Aboard the ship Kim vowed to reinforce the navy with improved combat efficiency and modern means of surface and underwater offensive and defensive capabilities.
