INILUNSAD ang PACE program kamakailan sa Camp Lt. Tito Abat na layong magbigay ng inisyatiba para sa pagtataguyod ng kapayapaan at kaunlaran sa pamamagitan ng paghahandog ng mga skills training at job opportunities sa lahat ng volunteers simula sa Enero 2024.
Kabilang sa aktibidad ang signing ceremony ng Memorandum of Partnership Agreement (MOPA) sa pagitan ng Career Builders Skills Training and Assessment Center, Inc. at 702nd Infantry ‘Defender’ Brigade (702IB).
Makikinabang sa Peace and Community Empowerment (PACE) program ang mga residente ng geographically-isolated at conflict affected areas sa lalawigan ng Pangasinan, Tarlac, Bataan, at Zambales gayundin ang mga tauhan ng militar at mga dependent nito.
“One is ‘yung military meaning military, ‘yung soldier and their dependents, second is the community, so far wala pa tayong target community that will now depend on this, our battalions kung saan ‘yung kanilang ipa-priority that’s why they are here right now, they are part of the program,” ayon kay BGen. Gulliver Señires PA, Commander, 702IB, 7ID, PA.
Layunin ng PACE program na magbigay ng mahahalagang pagsasanay sa volunteer military dependents para sa kanilang future employment, magbigay ng partikular na kasanayan para sa placement at employment, tugunan ang kawalan ng trabaho sa mga Geographically-Isolated and Conflict-Affected Areas (GICA) at pangasiwaan ang pagbabago ng mga ito para sa self-sustaining communities sa pamamagitan ng community empowerment.
Ayon kay BGen. Señires, malaki ang magiging papel ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) bilang mga pangunahing maghahatid ng serbisyo at magde-deploy sa mga malalayong lugar at maghahatid sa mga GICA sa career builders training venue.
“With the help of the army we will provide the transportation, we will do the howling, we will do the dissemination, we will inform them what this program is all about and all the career builders…What career builders will do is to train everybody na ma-select, ma-screen at ire-recommend ng Philippine Army Unit to undergo, to participate in the program para i-train ng career builders,” dagdag ni BGen. Señires.
Ilan sa mga requirement ay ang birth certificate at vaccine card habang katuwang ang Career Builders Skills Training and Assessment Center Inc. sa pagkuha ng kanilang Social Service System (SSS), Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth at medical.
“Kung anong kulang nila, pagkuha ng SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, medical, kami po lahat ang tumutulong na mag process kasi even those are free services from those government agencies kaya lang gagastos ka pa rin ng pamasahe, pagkain, madami kaya dito libre na kami na lahat ang kumikilos,” aniya.
