PAF renders departure honors for Major Jude Salang-Oy

THE Philippine Air Force (PAF) rendered solemn departure honors for the late Major Jude S Salang-Oy PAF, as his remains were transported from Villamor Air Base to Basa Air Base, Floridablanca, Pampanga, the home of the fighter pilots, on March 9, 2025

Lieutenant General Arthur M Cordura PAF, Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, led the ceremony, joined by PAF key officers, the bereaved family, and fellow airmen.

The remains of the fallen fighter pilot will have a three-night vigil at Basa Air Base, allowing fellow airmen to offer their prayers, respect, and tribute.

Meanwhile, the remains of First Lieutenant April John B Dadulla PAF, will be transported to Basa Air Base on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 before his remains will be ferried to his hometown in Cagayan de Oro City.

The Philippine Air Force continues its thorough investigation into the FA-50 crash on Mt. Kalatungan, Bukidnon, which claimed the lives of Major Salang-Oy and First Lieutenant Dadulla.

The PAF remains committed to ensuring flight safety and implementing measures to prevent such unfortunate events in the future.
