NAGPAABOT ng mensahe si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa communication stakeholders sa pagdalo nito sa kauna-unahang Telco Summit 2022.
Ginanap ang naturang summit ngayong araw ng Martes, Disyembre 6 sa PICC sa Pasay City.
Ang event ay pinangunahan ng Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) kasama ang telecommunications company o ang telcos ng bansa.
“I think that it is impossible to overstate the importance of the telco industries, the importance of digitalization, the importance of improving the ease of doing business for all the plans that we have for the Philippines,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Binigyang-diin din ni Pangulong Marcos ang programa ng kanyang administrasyon na gawing digital ang Pilipinas kung saan ang lahat ng proseso sa pamahalaan ay fully digitalized.
Ang naturang hakbang ay sa pamamagitan ng pakikipagtulungan sa mga Telco para mapabilis ang magkaroon ng first world internet sa bansa.
Para magawa ito, binibilisan ng ARTA ang pagre-release ng permit para sa common tower policy.
Sa ilalim ng polisiya, maaaring gamitin ng iba’t ibang telco ang isang tore para sa nationwide roll out ng connectivity.
Ayon sa ARTA, walong permit na lamang ang kailangan mula trese, 35 mula sa 86 na documentary requirements at 16 days mula sa dating 241 days ang kailangan para sa common tower policy.
“We also are streamlining the efforts of government in processing and issuance of permits and licenses to accelerate the development of telecommunication [and] internet infrastructure in the country. This I think everyone has realized is a crucial part of our development,” ayon sa Pangulo.
Binigyang-diin ni Pangulong Marcos ang nais ng kanyang administrasyon na gamitin ang lahat ng makabagong resources at ang tulungan ng telco at ng pamahalaan para sa streamlining ng mga proseso sa gobyerno.
“And that is why that is a priority and that is why as I said at the very start, it is impossible to overstate the importance of connectivity, of the telcos, of all of our new technologies over the internet whether it be by fiber optic cable, whether it be Starlink, whether it be from a satellite. Whatever the system is appropriate, we need to explore it and we need to apply it,” aniya.
Binigyang-diin ng Pangulo na digitized ang private sector kaya kung nais ng pamahalaan na makipag-negosasyon, dapat din daw na ma-digitalized ang mga proseso ng pamahalaan.
