Pangulong Marcos, posibleng bumalik ng Hawaii—PH Envoy

NAGLATAG na ng posibleng schedule ang envoy ng Pilipinas sa Estados Unidos kaugnay sa nakatakdang pagbisita ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. doon.

Ito’y sa nakatakdang pagdalo ng Pangulo sa APEC Summit mula Nobyembre 15-18.

Ayon kay Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez, hectic ang magiging schedule ng Pangulo.

At kasama sa schedule ang pagpunta ng Presidente sa Hawaii.

“And then the President plans to visit another city on the West Coast, and then from there possibly go to other— maybe, we’re still trying to work out a short stay, a short visit to Honolulu. There’s a large Filipino community there. But all of these schedules are being worked out,” ayon kay Jose Manuel Romualdez, Philippine Ambassador to the US.

May malaking parte sa buhay ng pamilya Marcos ang Hawaii dahil doon sila nanatili matapos ang EDSA People Power Revolution.

Kaya maraming supporter ang Marcos family sa nasabing US State.

Samantala, marami aniya investor ang nais makausap si Pangulong Marcos sa pagpunta niya sa US.

Saad ni Ambassador Romualdez, sabik ang Silicon Valley Investors na makipagpulong sa Presidente.

“Yes, definitely. The Silicon Valley tech companies are very eager to meet with him. There’s also quite a number of requests from financial institutions. There are also companies in the manufacturing business in the West Coast, and probably a follow-up on the modular nuclear power plants that we’ve been talking about, and a number of companies that are based in the West Coast,” ani Romualdez.
