PCG welcomes 598 trainees in Zamboanga City

THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) formally welcomed the 598 trainees during the convening ceremony of Coast Guard Non-Officer’s Course (CGNOC) Class 112-2025 at Regional Training Center (RTC) Zamboanga in Gate 4, Zamboanga Special Economic Zone Authority and Freeport, Sinubong, Zamboanga City yesterday, 01 April 2025.

Said trainees will undergo six months of rigorous training, including military drills, discipline training, and essential skills developments.

Also part of the ceremony, was the partial turn-over of the newly built barracks for the trainees, designed to support the transformation of CGNOC Class 112-2025 from civilians to full-fledged coastguardians.

Present at the ceremony were Commander of the Coast Guard Education, Training and Doctrine Command (CGETDC), Vice Admiral Charlie Rances PCG; Commander, Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao, Commodore Marco Antonio Gines PCG; Superintendent, Coast Guard Non-Officers’ School, Captain John Aguinaldo, PCG; Director, RTC-Zamboanga, Commander Lourvin Parreño PCG; and other key officials of the PCG.
