Philippine Fleet hosts shipboard tour for SHS students

THE Philippine Fleet showcased its modern floating assets while inspiring and engaging the younger generation of senior high school (SHS) students from the Globe Brent Secondary Maritime Academy Inc. as it hosted a shipboard tour of BRP Tarlac LD601, Brp Gregorio Del Pilar and BRP Antonio Luna FF151 – PF moored at Quay 7 of the Naval Operating Base-Subic, Zambales on March 6, 2025.

The Fleet’s Office for Civil-Military Operations (F7) spearheaded the activity participated in by a total of 125 participants composed of Grade 11 and Grade 12 students, and teaching personnel.

The tour provided them with an up-close look at the Philippine Navy’s capabilities and ongoing modernization efforts.

Beyond deepening their understanding of the Navy’s critical role in national security, the experience also inspired them to consider military careers, contributing to future recruitment.

Additionally, the tour served as an educational platform to counter misinformation, offering students accurate, firsthand insights into the Navy’s operations and its unwavering commitment to national defense.
