Portions of Bonifacio Drive-Northbound to undergo repairs and drainage system upgrade

THE Department of Public Works and Highways – South Manila District Engineering Office started the rehabilitation of damaged roadways and the upgrade of the existing drainage system along Bonifacio Drive-Northbound last night, February 5, 2025, at 10:00 PM. The project is targeted for completion after six months of continuous repairs.

The project will start with the closure of the first lane from the sidewalk, along Bonifacio Drive – Northbound, covering 147 linear meters to the intersection of P. Burgos Street until before the intersection of 25th Street. The remaining fourth lane will be repaired after the completion of the first lane to avoid further traffic congestion. Simultaneously, the upgrading of drainage system will be conducted on affected lanes not only to ensure road serviceability for motorists, but to also help prevent flooding in the area.

Motorists are advised of traffic congestion during the repair period, and to use other lanes as alternate routes.

This project is part DPWH’s pledge, under the leadership of Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, aligned with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s commitment to continuously improve road safety, and provide convenience to the public.
