Querubin inspires Cavite Youth at Summit, pushes for patriotism and Panganay Scholarship

CARMONA, CAVITE—Independent senatorial candidate and Medal of Valor awardee Ariel Querubin encouraged the youth to take their studies seriously, embrace responsibility, and actively contribute to nation-building at the Youth Summit of Carmona, Silang, and General Mariano Alvarez, held today at the Carmona Community Center.

Querubin also shared his legislative priorities, particularly his “Panganay Scholar Law,” which aims to provide scholarships for eldest children in families.

“Lahat ng panganay, dapat iskolar. Alam natin, ang mga panganay, sila ang tinatakbuhan ng magulang, mga kapatid kapag may matinding pangangailangan,” Querubin explained.

Another key proposal Querubin discussed was the mandatory ROTC program, which he believes will instill patriotism, discipline, and disaster preparedness among the youth.

“Kailangan natin ng mas maraming kabataang handang magsakripisyo para sa bayan, hindi lang sa panahon ng giyera kundi sa panahon ng sakuna at pangangailangan,” he said.

Querubin’s message resonated with the students, many of whom expressed appreciation for his focus on youth empowerment and nation-building.

Querubin also made a courtesy call to Cavite Governor Athena Tolentino and Carmona Municipal Mayor Dr. Dahlia A. Loyola, where they discussed local needs and his plans for improving education, enhancing livelihood programs, and strengthening anti-corruption efforts.
