Thailand exceeds 2022 figures with 15 million visitors in 2023

AT least 15 million international visitors have already arrived in Thailand during the first seven months of the year.

The number has already exceeded the number of visitors the country welcomed last year.

Aside from being well-known for a tourist destinations, Thailand has also become popular location for film making this year, especially after the country’s borders.

The United States reportedly spent the most on film making in Thailand, with 519 million baht for 14 projects, followed by china with 349 million baht for 17 projects, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and Germany.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has pushed its new tourism campaign that aims to promote medical tourism to attract wellness tourist with high purchasing power.

Thailand expects to welcome 25 million international visitors in 2023 and aims to collect three trillion baht in revenue from tourism in 2024.

For domestic tourism, the Tourism Authority of Thailand plans to promote local attractions in every region to disperse tourism-generated income to locals across Thailand.
