Viggo: The Philippine Eagle center’s icon and the face of the ₱1,000 banknote

IN 2010, our future wildlife icon Viggo hatched into the world. A captive-bred eagle, he is now the superstar of the Philippine Eagle Center. He stands as the proud face of the country’s ₱1,000 polymer banknote, reminding everyone of the Philippine Eagle as an endemic species.

Viggo is housed in our duplex enclosure alongside his neighbor, Marikit. As a permanent resident at the center, he is a part of our breeding program, helping secure the future of his kind.

We acknowledge the Eagle Cement Corporation’s generosity for their continued support as Viggo’s adopter.

A Marvelous 15th Hatch Day, Viggo!
