119 barangays avail of CMO’s Serbisyo Caravan in 2023

THE City Mayor’s Office’s (CMO) barangay caravan of government services was able to serve 119 barangays in 2023.

The caravan was part of the CMO’s initiative to make government services more accessible to every Dabawenyo by taking it closer to their doorsteps.

CMO’s Barangay Affairs Team leader, Mr. Jimboy Panal, said that the caravan is set to resume in February.

“Mag resume ang caravan (tentative) February 15, 2024, at Barangay Gumalang [The tentative date for the resumption of the caravans is on February 15, 2024, in Barangay Gumalang, Baguio District],” he said.

In 2023, 17,286 Dabawenyos availed of the services that were provided during the serbisyo caravan.

Panal added that the same local and national government agencies will be participating in this year’s serbisyo caravan.

The local government agencies that will be present include the Ancillary Services Unit (ASU), the Barangay Cultural Communities Affairs Division (BCCAD), the City Agriculturist Office (CAGRO), the City Assessor’s Office (CAO), the City Cooperative and Development Office (CCDO), the City Civil Registrar’s Office (CCRO), the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), the City Engineer’s Office (CEO), the City Health Office (CHO), the City Information Office (CIO), the City Legal Office (CLO), the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO), the City Veterinarian’s Office (CVO), the Educational Benefit System Unit (EBSU), the Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA), the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), the Vice Mayor’s Office (VMO), and the City Mayor’s Office (CMO).

Participating national government agencies are the Land Registration Authority (LRA), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Philippine National Police (Davao City Police Office), Social Security System (SSS), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines/Task Force Davao.

For the schedule of the caravans, respective barangay captains will be informing their constituents.
