410.70 – L.M. box culvert directs accumulated floodwater at Estero de San Miguel

A bigger volume of floodwater from the streets of Mendiola and C. Aguila, including the 1st to 5th Street, can now be contained by the 1.50m x 1.50m reinforced concrete box culvert delivered by the Department of Public Works and Highways – North Manila District Engineering Office at San Miguel, Manila on March 31, 2024.

The box culvert, encompassing a total length of 410.70 linear meters starting from Mendiola Street to 5th Street will direct the floodwater at the Estero de San Miguel, draining the roads from the nearby areas. As such, this project preserves the lives and properties of the affected residents in the vicinity and its connecting drainage areas.
