Enemies want to destroy Iran like Syria—IRGC chief

THE chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corp boldly claimed that the enemies of Iran want to destroy a country like Syria.

Major General Hossein Salami, the chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said that the progress of Muslims is something the enemy cannot tolerate.

Speaking at a gathering in West Azerbaijan province, Salami said that poverty, loss of trade and security, a widowhood of women, and orphanage of children -these things happening in Syrian cities- are exactly what the enemies want to happen to the people of Iran.

The Iranian general pointed out that Islamic lands are the land of blessings and wealth but the enemies of the region plan to disturb the peace and security of Muslims since their progress is something the enemy cannot tolerate.

He added that these nations opposing them use their political and strategic tools to destabilize Islamic countries.

Salami said that instability, strong media war, lies, rumor-mongering, and efforts to create a crisis out of normal events are the usual plans of the enemy.

The Iranian general accused America and its partners of efforts to destabilize Iran.

In a phone call with the prime minister of Armenia earlier this week, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said he is against any geopolitical change or hosting Western military forces in the Caucasus because the presence of foreigners will not only fail to solve any problem but will also cause new ones.
