Pastor Quiboloy’s cases can be bailed, invalidated—Sen. Tolentino

AMID the cases faced by Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, Senator Francis Tolentino stressed that his rights should be respected.

“Respect Pastor,” said Sen. Francis “Tol” Tolentino.

Also, Senator Tolentino advised Pastor Apollo’s legal team that the cases filed in the regional trial courts are bailable.

The senator also mentioned that Pastor’s camp can file a ‘motion to quash’ to invalidate the arrest warrant, stressing that there is a legal process that must be respected by everyone.

“I have here the order in front of me. Even the court order, the issuance of the warrant of arrest can be quashed. There’s a procedure. So, when the warrant is quashed, the warrant becomes void,” said Sen. Francis “Tol” Tolentino.

Sen. Tolentino also advised that if the warrant from the House of Representatives and the Senate cannot be served, then it’s better to wait for the decision of the Supreme Court.

He said that the Senate may insist on Article 150 of the revised penal code to persuade the court to issue an arrest warrant, but he however reiterated that Pastor Quiboloy’s camp can also post bail and file a “motion to quash” it.

“Let’s allow him to exercise his legal rights and let’s respect whatever steps he decides to take,” Tolentino added.
