TURKISH Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Niyazi Evren Akyol paid a courtesy visit to Education Secretary Sonny Angara on March 3, at the DepEd Central Office, Pasig City.
The Philippines and Turkey have maintained collaborative ties in various areas, including education.
Amb. Akyol and Sec. Angara discussed developments on the Turkish Scholarship program, potential investments in the education sector, and the operations of select private schools branded as Turkish institutions.
“Education knows no borders, and our collaboration with Turkey opens doors to greater opportunities for Filipino learners and educators,” stated DedEd Sec. Sonny Angara.
