REGIONAL Director Nelia Arina of the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 12, during the second episode of this year’s Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas Tuesday, March 4, discussed the Philippine Experience Program (PEP).
According to RD Arina, PEP is one of the flagship programs of the present administration designed to showcase the rich culture and heritage of the country.
The program is also curated to let tourism stakeholders, including foreign visitors, experience firsthand what activities and destinations the Philippines has to offer.
RD Arina also shared that in June of last year, the PEP was staged in Soccsksargen, reintroducing the region as a destination ready for both international and local tourists.
“Ito po ang napagtagumpayan ng Philippine Experience Program. Layunin nito ay to showcase our culture, our heritage, our celebration as a people, our culinary, even the dreams that are represented by tangible things that we have,” said Nelia Arina, Director, Department of Tourism (DOT).
