ATTY. Salvador Panelo warned the critics of Vice President Sara Duterte that their fall or removal from power will only be hastened if they proceed with their alleged impeachment plan against the vice president.
“On the alleged impeachment that’s being planned in the House of Representatives against you, ma’am?”
“They are talking about it even if they deny it, members of the House of Representatives are talking about it. We still have friends inside who are not speaking up because they say they are afraid. So, they are saying that it’s openly discussed—the impeachment.”
“Openly discussed,” according to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, Republic of the Philippines.
These were the clear words of Vice President Sara Duterte in a press briefing in the Senate on Tuesday regarding the alleged impeachment that is being planned against her in the House of Representatives.
But before she addressed the issue head on, this was already brought to the knowledge of the public.

In regard to this, former Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Atty. Salvador Panelo warned the critics of the vice president.
“I don’t see any impeachable ground. When that is ordered by whoever is their boss—Speaker Martin or President Marcos Jr.—they will finish her. This is my warning to you: you file an impeachment, your removal from power will come sooner because that will be illegal,” stated Atty. Salvador ‘Sal’ Panelo, Former Chief Presidential Legal Counsel.
Atty. Panelo stressed that all things illegal will not last as the Filipino people who put officials in power will not allow this to happen.
“The history of our country is: all who abused—even if it was over a long period of time—the reaction took a long time, but there was a reaction. Remember that. Go ahead with it and your fall will be hastened due to your abuses here in our country,” he stressed.
Atty. Panelo is endorsing the Duterte-Duterte tandem for the 2028 Philippine presidential election — Sara Duterte for the presidency and her father former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for the vice presidency.
“She is the strongest presidential candidate in 2028, especially if the vice president who will run alongside her is Digong (Rodrigo Duterte)? It’s finished. Game over. Duterte-Duterte tandem in 2028,” Panelo added.
