THE interference of the Americans is one of the reasons cited by the Kingdom of Jesus Christ for the intense pressure being exerted on Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy by the regime of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. A former palace official has also questioned this approach, especially after the Court of Appeals issued a freeze order on KOJC’s properties.
“Why are we still allowing foreigners like the Americans to interfere, especially when it comes to delivering justice to our fellow Filipinos?’’ Atty. Harry Roque asked.
Just like former President Rodrigo Duterte’s stance that only Filipinos should judge their fellow Filipinos, former presidential spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque emphasized the same in Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy’s case.
Quiboloy is currently facing intense pressure from the Marcos administration, allegedly under American influence.
Roque’s statement follows the Court of Appeals’ freeze order, requested by the Anti-Money Laundering Council to freeze the accounts and properties of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, particularly those of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy and other individuals, including well-known institutions like the Children’s Joy Foundation and SMNI.
Freeze order targets KOJC properties unrelated to the case, lawyers question basis
The legal counsel of the KOJC questions why the court’s decision to issue the freeze order is based on accusations against Pastor Apollo in America. They are particularly puzzled as to why even properties unrelated to the accusations are affected by a single complaint.
Attorney Dinah Tolentino-Fuentes mentioned that this was one of the questions raised during the Court of Appeals hearing.
“There were many questions asked during the hearing, and I hope we can satisfactorily answer all of them. We need to raise all relevant issues, including why a single complaint can lead to a freeze order affecting all of the Kingdom’s properties, the Children’s Joy Foundation, SMNI, and even Waxi’s,” Atty. Dinah Tolentino-Fuentes stated.
Roque added that such a court move is no small matter, especially since it directly impacts human rights based on unproven accusations.
“Let’s not underestimate these freeze orders because anyone could become a victim. According to the Anti-Money Laundering Council and the Anti-Money Laundering Law, there must be a predicate crime. So, if there is no probable cause for the predicate crime, there should be no freeze. If they don’t read the law, they shouldn’t issue a freeze order without a predicate crime. This violates human rights concerning due process over property,” Atty. Roque added.
Meanwhile, KOJC’s resident minister, Bro. Carlo Catiil, stated that in their four decades of service, they have never experienced such harassment—something they attribute to the Marcos Jr. administration’s alleged collusion with the Americans, who are believed to be orchestrating the operation against Pastor Apollo.
“The Kingdom of Jesus Christ has been around for 40 years. We have never experienced anything like this in past administrations. It’s only now that we are being harassed, with baseless cases being filed against our beloved Pastor,” according to Bro. Carlo Catiil, Resident Minister, KOJC.
“We are all witnesses here; they are being supplied with high-tech gadgets—listening devices, telescopes, thermal scanners—all aimed at us. They have a deadline before November, the U.S. elections. If your mind isn’t completely messed up, why would you trade Pastor, a Filipino citizen, for something in America? You are our president, yet you’re trading him for something in America in exchange for what we mentioned earlier,” Bro. Catiil added.
Alleged America’s extraordinary rendition targets Pastor Quiboloy
In connection with this, the plan for America’s extraordinary rendition of Pastor Apollo was reiterated. Pastor Apollo had previously revealed this plan against him, which is why he has remained out of the public eye.
According to his credible source, the plan is in exchange for a $2 million reward, or over 110 million pesos.
A former palace official suggested that this could indeed happen, especially since rendition is legally practiced in America.
“Only in America do they have such jurisprudence, and they are the ones who popularized rendition. When they need information, they don’t torture in their country; they take the person to a place where torture is allowed. That’s what’s called rendition.”
“What has happened to our government? It’s like we’re in the Wild West, where you can kill someone who is presumed innocent until proven otherwise and pay a huge some money for it. What has happened to us? This isn’t civilized anymore. We are regressing to the Neanderthal age, like cave people paying bounties to kill someone presumed innocent. I’m not saying Pastor is innocent; the Constitution says everyone is presumed innocent until proven otherwise,’’ Atty. Roque added.
Meanwhile, the political analysts suggest that one of the reasons this is happening to Pastor Apollo is his known alliance with the Dutertes. During the previous administration, the Philippine government stood firm on being independent of American influence.
However, under Marcos Jr., the Philippines has become closer to America, with an increase in EDCA sites.
KOJC exec. to Marcos Jr. Admin: ‘you can’t blame KOJC members for believing you’ve been paid off’
According to KOJC Executive Secretary Sis. Eleonor Cardona, KOJC members can’t help but believe that half of the reward money has been paid, which is why there is such a strong effort to capture Pastor Apollo.
‘‘America is behind all of this. It just so happens that our new president also has issues in America, so he traded our beloved Pastor for their issues, for their debts there.’’
‘‘There are so many problems, why are they so focused on Pastor? Or are they hidsing something?’’
‘‘All other problems are being overshadowed because the focus is always on Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. So, you can’t blame the KOJC members for believing they’ve been paid off. Maybe half of the $2 million has already been given, which is why are they are so bold, allegedly offering a bounty on Pastor’s head,’’ KOJC Executive Secretary Sis. Eleonor Cardona, stated.
