China to launch hundreds of space craft in 2024

CHINA aims to set a new record in 2024 by making at least a hundred space launches as it sets a footprint as one of the leading countries in the field of global space exploration.

The initiative includes the deployment of more than 300 spacecraft.

These include satellites for monitoring the salinity of ocean waters and electromagnetic fields.

The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation revealed that several rockets are set to take their first flights in 2024.

Among them are carrier rockets such as Long March-6C, Long March-12, and a modified version of Long March-8.

Chinese space officials will also launch a relay satellite designed to enable communications between the Earth and the far side of the Moon.

The relay satellite will be deployed alongside the Chang’e-6 lunar probe, designed to collect up to two kilograms of lunar materials on the far side of the moon.

The initiative is part of the fourth phase of China’s lunar exploration program.

China joins the United States, Japan, and France as the top countries with the largest investments in global space exploration, while Russia made history by sending the first cosmonaut and the first man to reach space.
