The Army troops of the 14th Infantry “Avenger” Battalion (14IB) of the 8th Infantry “Stormtroopers” Division (8ID) facilitated the surrender of a CPP-NPA Terrorist (CNT) in Sogod, Southern Leyte on March 17, 2024.
The CNT is identified as John Lamadora, also known as Joven or Yuni, belonged to the Eastern Visayas Regional Party Committee (EVRPC) who initially surrendered to the troops of Hibod-Hibod CAFGU Active Auxiliary Patrol Base.
The Army leadership commended the collaborative efforts of the 8ID for facilitating the peaceful surrender of the CNT.
The 8ID leadership also reiterates that Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs) are no longer welcome in the community of Southern Leyte while urging CNTs to peacefully surrender and live their new lives with their loved ones.
