THE Coast Guard District Central Visayas (CGDCV) participated in the Regional Joint Peace and Security Coordinating VII (RJPSCC7) meeting in Lapu-Lapu, Cebu City, on 19 April 2024.
During the meeting, the officials discussed updates on the internal security situation, maritime and port security updates, and crime situation updates in Central Visayas.
The RJPSCC, a government-led body in the Philippines, aims to enhance peace and security across the Visayas region. The CGDCV said it operates by fostering cooperation among governmental agencies, local government units, and other stakeholders to combat security threats such as terrorism, insurgency, and criminal activities.
