DAVAO City forges stronger ties with Hamamatsu City, Japan following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a sister city agreement on October 29.
The MOU signing took place at the Matina Enclaves, and was participated in by Hamamatsu Mayor Yusuke Nakano and Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte.
Delegates from the Hamamatsu City Government along with officials from the City Government of Davao were also present during the event.
The signing of the sister city agreement intends to foster and explore potential collaborations as well as to continue ongoing partnerships in the fields of education, academia, economy, and investment.
Hamamatsu City is the third sister city of Davao City in Japan following Sennan City and Kitakyushu City.
