Davao City’s local source revenue increases over last 3 years

THE Davao City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) logged a consistent increase in the city’s local source revenue collection in the past three years.

The revenue collection from local sources include local taxes, service income, business income, economic enterprise, and other income.

In 2022, the total local source revenue collection of the city reached P5,173,141,225.13, with local taxes being the biggest contributor at P3,926,291,611.10.

A 12.50 percent increase in the total local source revenue collection was recorded by the CTO in 2023 as its collection reached P5,819,658,917.87.

Meanwhile, the local source revenue collection continued to increase in 2024 at P5,970,117,735.29.

In terms of total revenue collection, the CTO also recorded a significant increase in the city’s revenue collection in 2024 at P13,411,775,117.29, surpassing its 2023 collection by 4.53 percent.

The city government extends its gratitude to the taxpayers for religiously paying their tax obligations to the city. This contribution is vital for the city to continue to deliver and provide better services for Dabawenyos.

The CTO will also continue to endeavor to perform its mandate judiciously in order to properly collect what is due for the city as well as provide ample support and resources to the city.

Dabawenyos are also urged to continue being responsible taxpayers and lead as examples to many.
