REPRESENTING Education Secretary Sonny Angara, Assistant Secretary Cilette Liboro Co underscored the transformative power of journalism in revealing the truth, amplifying the voices of the unheard, and delivering justice at the 2025 National Capital Region (NCR) Regional Schools Press Conference Awarding Ceremony in Parañaque City.
Drawing from her experiences with journalists, she compared journalism to a home dedicated to the singular purpose of fighting for the truth to create a better society.
“Ganito ang tunay na diwa ng journalism. It is about shedding light on the darkest corners of our society. It is about being the bridge between the unheard and the powerful. It is about using words not just to inform, but to uplift and empower,” Education Secretary Sonny Angara said.
