THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bulacan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) supported the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela program by initiating and leading the distribution of educational materials and school essentials to Colonel Vicente L. Salvador Elementary School (CVLSES) in Barangay Laog, Angat, on August 5, 2024.
District Engineer George Santos and Assistant District Engineer Edwin Abengaña led the initiative and were joined by office Section Chiefs, who collectively provided 220 school kits containing bags, notebooks, pad papers, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, ballpens, and coloring materials, as well as nutritious food packs to help students prepare for the upcoming academic year.
“Providing students with their basic necessities is not only vital for their present well-being but also an essential investment in preparing them for a successful future,” Santos remarked.
Meanwhile, CVLSES Principal Rafael Del Rosario expressed his gratitude to the district office for selecting their school as a beneficiary of Brigada Eskwela 2024.
“Sobrang laking tulong po nito para sa bawat estudyante dahil hindi naman lahat ay mayroong kapasidad na magkaroon ng kagamitang pang-eskwela,” Del Rosario said.
