Dubai Crown Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum announces Dh1 million prize for largest AI competition

HIS Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, ordered local officials to organize the Global Prompt Engineering Championship in May 2024.

Organizers described the championship as the largest challenge of its kind which aims to maximize the power of generative artificial intelligence (AI).

In a post using the X platform, Sheikh Hamdan invited all participants from all corners of the world to join the event which will be divided into three categories: Literature, Art, and Coding.

Winning innovators will be recognized at the modern and dynamic Museum of the Future and will receive cash prizes amounting to one million dirhams.

The competition will be organized by the Dubai Future Foundation in partnership with the Dubai Centre for AI.

The market for global AI is predicted to grow up to twenty times, from nearly $100-B US dollars up to nearly two trillion US dollars in 2030.

The initiative is part of the visionary initiative of the leaders of Dubai to push the city at the forefront of the global AI landscape.
