DUBAI was named the best city brand in the Middle East and Africa as well as 9th globally.
In a list published by Brand Valuation and Strategy Consultancy Brand Finance, London topped the list globally with a score of 84.6 out of 100, followed by New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo, San Francisco, Dubai, and Amsterdam.
With a Brand Finance City Index score of 75.8 out of 100, Dubai has gained a reputation as the ‘City of Gold.’
The emirate was recognized for being a major shopping destination for jewelry and also for its role in finance and trade.
Dubai also excelled in other attributes such as ranking 1st for future growth potential, 2nd in a strong and stable economy, and 3rd behind only New York and London as a city of global significance.
Dubai proved its reputation as the top city brand not just at the regional level but also globally.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi was named the 2nd best city brand in the Middle East and Africa and ranked 28th worldwide.
Close to 15,000 members in 20 countries across the globe, participated in the survey to measure perceptions of the world’s top 100 cities.
