DUBAI’s Sheikh Zayed Road transformed into a sea of orange as more than 226,000 participants joined the 5th edition of the annual Dubai Run.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, led thousands of runners throughout the city streets in an extraordinary display of unity and community spirit.

The Fun Run held this past weekend set a new record of more than 226,000 participants and surpassed last year’s numbers of about 193,000.

The latest figures have consolidated its position as the largest community Fun Run in the world.

Among those present were celebrated United Arab Emirates Astronauts Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi and Hazzaa Almansoori, together with their Russian and American counterparts.

Their presence not only showed their shared passion for fitness but also inspired everyone to embrace a healthy lifestyle.

The presence of the Dubai police also ensured the security of the Fun Run.

The event marked the conclusion of the month-long Dubai Fitness Challenge which ran from October 28 to November 26, 2023.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge was a project initiated by Sheikh Hamdan in 2017 to support the vision of making Dubai one of the most active cities in the world.
