Empowering Recreational Safety Enforcement Inspection

DEPUTY Commander, Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao CG CDR Marilyn L Jaal presided over the Convening Ceremony of the Recreational Safety Enforcement Inspection (RSEI) Training on 06 May 2024.

This training aims to equip the forty (40) PCG personnel to be competent and proficient inspectors for the proper conduct of Recreational Safety Inspections of coastal and beach resorts.

Moreover, the acquired necessary knowledge and skills will carry out PCG mandates effectively and efficiently before their deployment to the different Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao Stations and Substations.

In her message, CG CDR Jaal emphasized that Coast Guard personnel should engage in knowledge acquisition, inquiry, and experience sharing.

“Let us not lose sight of the fact that education serves as a beacon of hope for our communities and societies, and not merely a means of individual achievement,” she added.
