Foreign minister of Pakistan visits Tokyo for talks with Japanese counterpart

PAKISTAN’S Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is currently in Tokyo as part of efforts to strengthen its relations with Japan.

Pakistan Ambassador Raza Bashir Tarar and Officials of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Pakistani Community in Japan welcomed the arrival of Foreign Minister Zardari at the airport on Sunday.

During his visit to Japan, he immediately met with Japan Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi for talks regarding the acceleration of steps to receive more workers from Pakistan under the skilled worker program.

During a press conference, Hayashi said preparations for bilateral talks aiming to establish proficiency exams for Pakistan’s program are nearly completed.

According to Bhutto, Pakistan is ready to send young workers to Japan.

Meanwhile, Bhutto also met with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in his own office where they discussed the cooperation of the two countries in maintaining and strengthening world order.

So far, Pakistan and Japan have also agreed to enhance their bilateral cooperation in other various sectors, including trade, I.T., and solar energy.
