TAONG 2018 nang mabuo ang National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) sa pangunguna ng dating Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Ang ahensiyang ito ng gobyerno ay nagkaroon ng mga kontribusyon sa aspeto ng seguridad, kaunlaran, at kapayapaan sa mga komunidad na matagal nang apektado ng mga kaguluhan dulot ng armadong pakikibaka ng rebeldeng grupo.
Ngunit ano na nga ba ang narating ng NTF-ELCAC sa halos anim na taon nito magmula nang maitatag?
Sa panayam ng SMNI News kay NTF-ELCAC Executive Director Undersecretary Ernesto Torres Jr. mula sa halos 90 aktibong guerilla fronts, ipinagmamalaki nito na wala nang aktibong guerilla fronts sa bansa ngayon.
“Sa ating campaign on counter insurgency we’ve been very successful for that past almost six years now from a high of 89 active guerilla fronts back in December 2018 when the NTF-ELCAC is established sa ngayon po and were happy to report to the public there are no more, zero active guerilla fronts,” ayon kay Usec. Ernesto Torres Jr. Executive Director, NTF-ELCAC
Ang pahayag na ito ng opisyal ay matapos ang ginawang Top Management Strategic Communications Workshop ng NTF-ELCAC na kung saan tinalakay ang mga ginagawang karahasan ng mga terorista.
Sa ngayon aniya nasa apat na mahihinang guerilla fronts na lang ang kanilang minomonitor at sinisikap na kumbinsihin na magbalik-loob sa pamahalaan.
“We are just confronting 4 weakened guerilla fronts and we are confident that our security sector together the help of the other agencies and the whole of the nation participation we would be able to dismantle the other 4 weakened guerilla front sooner rather that later.”
“This ‘yong apat na weakened guerilla fronts may dalawa pa sa Northern Luzon KLG Baggas, KLG North Abra and one in Bicol region thats KLG One and Sentro front in Panay Region,” ani Torres.
Binigyang-diin din nito na dahil sa whole of the nation approach ng pamahalaan ay naiparamdam sa mga kababayan natin na nasa mga liblib na lugar ang mga programa ng gobyerno kung kaya’t marami ang sumusuko na mga rebelde.
“’Yon po ‘yong napakahalaga that’s why we are experiencing an in flocks of surrenderees from the CTG movement because they are feeling that there is a government a whole of nation that’s truly caring for them,” ani Torres.
Para naman kay National Security Council, Deputy Director General at Former AFP Chief of Staff na si Benjamin Rasgo Madrigal Jr. hindi makakamit ng pamahalaan ang nasabing katagumpayan kung wala ang tulong ng bawat sektor ng lipunan.
“The National Task Force will not become a National Task Force if we only talk of the government agencies the National Task Force is National Task Force if we have all sectors of society working together then it becomes a whole of the nation, society effort then only then we call it a National Task Force indeed,” wika ni DDG. Benjamin Rasgo Madrigal, Jr., Deputy Director General, NSC.
Sa ngayon ay sinisikap ng NTF-ELCAC na mapanatili ang kapayapaan na nakamit nito at patuloy na ipinapatupad ang mga programa ng gobyerno upang hindi na makabalik pa at lumakas ang salot na CPP-NPA-NDF.
