IN partnership with DOST-Philippine Textile Research Institute Partnerships for Sustainability Education), DOST – PTRI (PSE), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and Intramuros Administration (BJMP) – NCR, DOST-NCR formally launched this year’s “Pamana Agham” with the theme “Science in Every Weave and Thread” at the Textile Gallery, DOST-PTRI Building, Bicutan, Taguig.
According to Engr. Romelen Tresvalles, Regional Director of DOST-NCR, emphasizes the importance of science and technology in the textile sector. Heritage Science aims to showcase the achievements of DOST for the textile industry. It also aims to serve as a platform to identify the needs of their colleagues in the textile industry.
Dr. Julius L. emphasized it too. Leaño, Jr., DOST-PTRI Director, on the importance of integrating science, arts, and culture in the textile industry.
Ms. Reinna A. is also included in the press conference. Cedeno, Director for Events of PSE who is in turn a partner in spreading the importance of sustainable use and development in various fields.
According to JCSUPT Clint Russel A Tangeres, CESE, Regional Director of BJMP-NCR, the artworks of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) for the “Sining Science” competition will also be included in the program. This competition showcases the fusion of science and art, highlighting the creative abilities of PDLs and their contribution to the broader narrative of innovation and culture.
