HEZBOLLAH leader Hassan Nasrallah met with Hamas deputy chief in the Gaza Strip, Khalil Al Hayya in Lebanon’s capital Beirut.
The talks centered on negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza as well as the situation in the war-torn enclave and the West Bank.
International efforts to secure a truce in Gaza before Ramadan failed after Israel and Hamas refused to come to terms.
Tensions at the border between Israel and Lebanon flared since the October 7 attack, resulting in casualties between the two sides.
Earlier this month, Nasrallah vowed retaliation against Israel and warned Hezbollah has missiles that can reach anywhere in the Jewish state following the death of civilians in Lebanon.
The Hezbollah chief also drew a massive crowd in Lebanon and viewers in Gaza after he delivered his first speech in early November, or nearly a month after the Israel-Hamas war broke out.
Tensions soared further after Hamas deputy Saleh Al Arouri was killed during an Israeli drone attack in Beirut on January 2.
The Hezbollah chief’s grandson and two other militants also died from a strike launched by Israel’s military in southern Lebanon earlier this month.
