INTERNATIONAL Monetary Fund (IMF) officials and the government of Argentina have mutually agreed to defer the final review of its $44-B loan set on September to November this year.
The extension would allow Argentina to have more time to implement reforms in order to ensure that the program delivers on is objectives.
The executive board of IMF is expected to approve the extension and disburse $4.7-B in funding during a meeting scheduled for Wednesday.
This extension would give Argentina more flexibility in deciding the way forward.
