AFTER winning the Copa America, Lionel Messi became the player with the most titles in the history of football.
Even though he was injured and on the bench, Messi watched his team score the final goal, securing their victory.
With this, he won his 45th trophy, marking a milestone in his career and surpassing Brazilian Dani Alves, who has 44 trophies.
Messi has now achieved five major titles with Argentina, including two Copa America victories, one World Cup, one Finalissima, and one Olympic gold medal.
It’s also worth remembering that Argentina won the World Cup with the decisive goal scored by Messi.
