BRAZILIAN President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva‘s surgery will push through after suffering from a hip ailment.
In July, President Lula said underwent pain-killing treatment at Hospital Sirio Libanês in Sao Paolo before attending a metalworkers’ union event.
The 77-year-old president suffers from a hip ailment, and he needs to undergo surgery before the year ends, as said by the Brazilian government, although his condition has not impaired his agenda.
And on Friday, Lula said he will undergo surgery by the end of September.
He made the announcement at an event in the Rio Grande and said he would have surgery after hosting the president of Vietnam on September 26.
Lula earlier assured that the surgery is a very simple procedure, and has said that his surgery will not affect global travel plans.
