IT seems that Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is not satisfied with his father’s Martial Law regime.
This was clearly stated by former Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque at the latest KOJC Press Conference.
He said that now that the Marcoses have returned to the highest positions, they are unwilling to let go of power.
‘‘Simple. They want forever again. They don’t want any threats to their desire for a forever Marcos rule,’’ statement of Atty. Harry Roque, former Presidential Spokesperson.
‘‘Professor, I have to remind you according to the movie, there’s no forever,’’ Atty. Dinah Tolentino, Legal Counsel, KOJC, said.
‘‘Exactly. That’s what they need to understand. No matter how they like it, nothing lasts forever, especially if the people are disgusted. That’s why the Marcos Jr. camp’s obsession with people they see as obstacles to their political ambitions is so intense,’’ Atty. Roque stated.
SMNI anchor Master Judea mentioned that this includes the Marcos Jr. administration’s obsession with undermining and bringing down the Dutertes, particularly former President Rodrigo Duterte, as if they are following a ‘playbook.’
Especially that there’s an upcoming election next year.
‘‘Another reason they are so obsessed with the Dutertes is that the Dutertes are the only significant obstacle in their path because even though PRRD is no longer in office, the people still love him,’’ according to Master Judea, Anchor, SMNI.
He also said Filipinos know what FPRRD did where the former President made the Filipino people feel that we have a president to lean on.
‘‘Unlike now, we don’t even see or hear from our president, so this is a standard of an ineffective leader. All issues in the Philippines should be handled by our leaders. Just like what’s happening now, they don’t even know the price of goods because if you divide 64 pesos among 3 meals, we’ll really be struggling,’’ Master Judea added.
Moreover, there is ongoing controversy regarding the possible entry of the International Criminal Court (ICC) into the country to investigate and arrest former President Duterte.
With Marcos Jr. administration’s obsession among the Dutertes, it can be noticed that the cases that are being thrown or considered as recycled cases against Vice President Sara Duterte are repeated over and over again.
Such as the issue of the P125-M confidential funds and the alleged impeachment plan against the Vice President.
In addition to their ‘playbook’ is the attempt to bring down SMNI, the entire congregation of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), and Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, a known close friend of FPRRD.
They are constantly defaming the reputation and character of the good Pastor.
‘‘It’s intense. They are singling out and clearly targeting the KOJC, which is known to be close to the Dutertes. The bottom line is that they really want to take down Duterte. So now, they are using all their resources, including leaders and people like Mr. Abalos, Mr. Torre, and Mr. Marbil,’’ Master Judea also said.
There’s also a plunder case being prepared against former President Duterte and Senator Bong Go, while former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque is being pinned down because he’s a critic of the administration.
Atty. Roque to Marcos Jr. admin: “The works of the devil will never prevail”
Despite the various attacks from the Marcos Jr. administration, Atty. Roque remains confident in the Biblical phrase which says “the works of the devil will never prevail.”
The former Palace official also has confidence in the intelligence of the Filipino people regarding the real political situation in the country.
‘‘We are Christians, we believe that God is our Shepherd, we shall not want. And of course, we believe that the works of the devil will never prevail. So, we also believe in the wisdom of the people who know when attacks are merely for political reasons and who understand the truth,’’ Atty. Roque stated.
For KOJC resident minister Carlo Catiil, the KOJC is prepared for any possible outcome and the entire congregation trusts in the power of God the Father in heaven.
