TO advance its Gender and Development (GAD) agenda, the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) unveiled a vibrant Kid’s Corner at its Central Office on 31 May 2024. This initiative aims not only to improve family-friendly services but also to cultivate inclusivity and bolster support for gender equality within the workplace.
By providing this facility, MARINA acknowledges the significance of assisting working parents, regardless of gender, thereby promoting workplace gender equality.
Located on the 3rd floor of the MARINA Central Office, the Kid’s Corner features colorful toys and child-friendly furniture, reflecting MARINA’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for both employees and visitors.
With the unveiling of the Kid’s Corner, the MARINA sets a precedent for other government agencies to prioritize family-friendly services in their facilities. This initiative aligns with broader efforts to promote work-life balance and cater to diverse needs within the community.
