A sea of white was formed as hundreds of leaders from the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in the National Capital Region attended the “Power and Freedom Restore to the Nation” Prayer Rally at Bonifacio Plaza in Manila, and among the attendees were indigenous people form Mindanao. They travelled all the way to Manila to express their solidarity for Datu Pamulingan, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.
Bawan Jake Lanes, the Executive Director of the Mindanao Indigenous Peoples Council of Elders and Leaders said they want to demonstrate their support for Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.
They criticized the Senate’s hearing against the good pastor, particularly Senator Risa Hontiveros.
“What Sen. Hontiveros is doing to Pastor Quiboloy is similar to what is happening to us. We can see how those in power are abusing what they call parliamentary immunity. They use it not for the aid of legislation but to discredit, especially Hontiveros. We know she has an alliance with leftist groups.”
“We see them acting like dictators, acting like they’re the court, and becoming the executioner in Pastor Quiboloy’s case. They did not give him due process to explain what he is involved in and what their accusations are,” according to Bawan Jake Lanes, Executive Director, Mindanao Indigenous Peoples Council of Elders and Leaders.
They also stand with Pastor Quiboloy’s call to restore power and freedom to the people.
“We are united to stand for our freedom, for expression, for reform, for strengthening our constitution, and for the progress of our country,” added Lanes.
Fourteen million members from eighteen tribes in Mindanao are supporting Datu Pamulingan, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.
