THE Prime Minister of Israel canceled his decision to remove the defense minister from his post amid the wave of terror attacks and rocket strikes in recent days.
It seemed all is well again between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant after the latter was reinstated to his post.
It can be noted, that Netanyahu fired Gallant 2 weeks ago after the defense minister publicly asked him to pause the government’s controversial judicial reforms.
But the increasing hostilities between Israel, Palestine, and Lebanon made Netanyahu change his mind and reinstate Gallant as defense minister.
He also blamed the previous administration for the recent wave of terror attacks and violence.
In a recent press conference, Netanyahu said that he had decided to settle their serious differences and put the arguments behind them.
“We had differences, serious differences. But I have decided to put the arguments behind us,” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel.
In response, Gallant stated that they will continue together for the sake of Israel’s security.
“We will continue together with full strength, for the sake of Israel’s security,” said Yoav Gallant, Defense Minister Israel.
Violence has rocked Israel since police forces raided the historic Al-Aqsa Mosque last week as well as launched air strikes towards Gaza and Lebanon.
The exchange of rocket fire between Lebanon and Israel was said to be the largest missile exchange between the 2 countries since their short war in 2006.
Meanwhile, the death of Lucy Dee and her 2 young daughters Maia and Rina Dee who were allegedly attacked by a group of Palestinian gunmen became the latest incident of terror in the occupied West bank.
