Newly constructed Libertad Drainage System seen to reduce flooding in Pasay City

TO ensure safety, and to protect the health of the residents living within the area, the Department of Public Works and Highways – South Manila District Engineering Office successfully completed the construction of drainage system at various parts of Libertad, Pasay City.

Aside from its aim to minimize the residents’ longtime concerns on flooding, this project prioritizes the well-being of the residents by draining away toxic materials and avoiding flood water accumulation. This assures that the community is free from illnesses such as dengue and malaria, leptospirosis, cholera, amoebiasis. Moreover, the construction of the project ensured that the roadway is free from flood waters during rainy season.

The project also helped restore roadways at Libertad, Pasay City to a smoother and safer thoroughfare for motorists, and commuters alike.
