Nine people dead after Pakistan launches retaliatory strikes vs Iran

THE retaliatory airstrike happened less than 48 hours after Iran targeted two militant strongholds in Iran which killed two children.

Reciprocal airstrikes from Pakistan breached the airspace of Iran earlier today.

The highly coordinated military strikes targeted hideouts of armed groups in the Sistan-Baluchestan province of Iran, according to Pakistan’s military.

Nine people died from the attack.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry summoned Pakistan’s charge D’affaires in Tehran to explain the deadly strike.

To recall, Iranian missile and drone strikes which targeted two bases of a militant group in Pakistan killed two children on Tuesday.

The bases belonged to the militant group Jaish al-Adl operating on the Iran-Pakistan border. Iran blamed the group as the mastermind of several bomb attacks and kidnappings in southeastern Iran.

Pakistan on the other hand condemned the attack and vowed to retaliate.
