THE troops of 31st Infantry Battalion engaged the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) in Barangay de Vera, Donsol, followed by clashes in Barangay Sangat and Barangay Togawe, both of Gubat, Sorsogon on January 14, 2024 that resulted to the death of Baltazar Hapa, alias Patrick, Commanding Officer of the Guerilla 1, Sub-regional Committee 3.
Authorities also seized war materials, including an M16 rifle, an M4 rifle, anti-personnel mines, an improvised explosive device, magazines, and personal items during these encounters.
