ON April 11, 2025, personnel of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), led by the Commanding General, PAF, Lieutenant General Arthur M Cordura PAF, gathered for a significant observance of the Lenten Season during the PAF-Wide Simultaneous Lenten Recollection.
The event, held at the PAF Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, CJVAB, Pasay City, as well as at various PAF air bases nationwide, provided a valuable opportunity for personnel to take a moment of reflection and engage in spiritual renewal, reaffirming the PAF’s ongoing commitment to the holistic well-being of its members.
With the theme, “Return to Me with All Your Heart,” Rev. Fr. Almar S. Roman, MI, who served as the Recollection Speaker, delivered spiritual messages that focused on repentance, forgiveness, and deepening one’s relationship with God. His reflections inspired the attendees to embrace inner peace, personal and spiritual transformation as they prepare for the Holy Week.
In his message, Lieutenant General Cordura also underscored the significance of this season, focusing on asking for forgiveness, repentance and reconciliation with God. He then urged every PAF personnel to carry the message not only in prayer, but in action. Further, he encouraged all personnel to return not to where they started, but to who they are called to be, an airmen and airwomen strengthened by faith, guided by truth, and committed to serve.
