Parents’ group calls for fair process, justice for Pastor ACQ and KOJC

A group of parents cannot help but feel sadness and dismay over the armed police raid on the religious compounds of the KOJC, especially amid the political maneuvers against Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.

For over fifty years, the communist terrorist group CPP-NPA-NDF has been spreading chaos and violence.

How many thousands of lives have been lost at the hands of these abusive individuals?

The Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) and Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy have also experienced harassment from this communist group.

During those times, not a single government agency or group stood firm to end the armed struggle of the rebels except for the police and military, who risked their lives despite the danger.

Thus, when former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte established the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) in 2018, Pastor Apollo and the entire KOJC and SMNI were among the supporters.

Since then, SMNI and the good pastor have continuously supported the government’s whole-of-nation approach by providing accurate and truthful information to the public to prevent them from being deceived and exploited by communist terrorist groups.

Yet, those who help the government achieve peace against the rebels are now the ones being targeted by the current administration.

To recall, on June 10th, armed authorities in full battle gear violently raided the religious compounds of the KOJC in Davao City.

Not only did they conduct a raid— the police desecrated the sacred places of millions of KOJC members and workers at its headquarters, as well as the Prayer and Glory Mountain.

CCTV footage captured the inhumane treatment by the armed police towards church missionaries who were pleading not to raid the sacred places of KOJC.

Instead of listening, the police harmed the defenseless KOJC workers.

The said raid by the law enforcement officers was captured on video and witnessed by hundreds of thousands of Filipinos, especially on social media.

Because of this, Relissa Santos-Lucena, founder of the Yakap ng Magulang Movement, could not help but feel sadness over the desecration of the KOJC church house.

“I am saddened and truly devastated by what is happening to Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and their church due to the propaganda being spread by Sen. Riza Hontiveros and her group,” according to Relissa Santos-Lucena, Founder, Yakap ng Magulang Movement.

She expressed disbelief that those who help the government fight terrorism are now the ones being pursued and harassed by the authorities.

“Pastor Apollo is one of those who took a stand and fought against the CPP-NPA-NDF, saving many lives. Many parents have had their children returned to them, and many former rebels have surrendered. Let us not forget the help given and the fight led by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy during our struggle against the CPP-NPA-NDF,” said Lucena.

Lucena emphasized that justice should be given to the good pastor and the entire KOJC congregation and that the political maneuvers of those in power should stop.

“I hope that justice will be served without biases and, most importantly, without propaganda. I hope we do not judge Pastor Apollo Quiboloy prematurely. Let this be brought to court and properly investigated, and let justice be served fairly without political maneuvering,” she stressed.

Santos-lucena also has an appeal to the government.

“May Pastor Apollo Quiboloy be given due process, as he deserves it, and above all, his church deserves it,” she concluded.

The Yakap ng Magulang Movement’s founder is among the many mothers who have been deprived of the right to care for their own children due to the wrong ideology instilled by the CPP-NPA-NDF through their deception of the youth.
