Police release body-cam footage of Louisville Bank shooting

ON Tuesday, the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) released body-cam footage of the tragic shooting incident that took place at a bank in Louisville, Kentucky.

The video shows the heroic efforts of officers Nickolas Wilt and Cory “CJ” Galloway, who risked their lives to stop the mass shooting and save others.

LMPD Deputy Chief Paul Humphrey praised their bravery and stated that the video is both tragic and amazing.

“What you saw in that video was absolutely amazing it’s tragic but it’s absolutely amazing. There’s only a few people in this country, that can do what they did not everybody can do, that they deserve TMSS honored for what they did,” said Paul Humphrey, Chief Deputy LMPD.

To recall, the shooting that happened at a bank in downtown Louisville has left 5 people dead and 6 others wounded.

The shooter, identified as 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon was an employee of the Old National Bank where the shooting occurred and was killed by police after exchanging fire with them.

With investigations still ongoing, Humphrey has assured the public that all information will be made available.

“Our administration will continue to provide information about the investigation it as it continues, We know there’s still a lot of unanswered questions you want answers. We want answers the public wants answers and we will continue to provide that information as it is available. We expect within the next 24 hours we will be releasing various 9-1-1 calls and audio Tape,” said Humphrey.

1 dead, 3 hurt outside a funeral home in Washington D.C.

In another shooting incident, a shooting occurred outside the Stewart Funeral Home in Washington, D.C., leaving 4 people injured and 1 dead.

The incident happened while a funeral service for a homicide victim was letting out.

The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch has appealed to the public to assist in identifying and locating a vehicle that may be connected to the shooting.

The suspects’ vehicle, a white Lexus 350, was caught on a surveillance camera and was seen with possible damage to the bottom of the front passenger door.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the homicide.

The motive behind the shooting is still unknown, and investigators believe that the victims were targeted.
