THE Department of Public Works and Highways – South Manila District Engineering Office will conduct asphalt overlaying activities covering the northbound, and southbound portions of Maria Orosa Street, Malate, Manila which will start on March 7, 2025, and shall be conducted every weekend until March 30, 2025.
The repairs will be conducted one lane at a time, requiring partial closure of the affected portions. After the scheduled repairs from March 7, 2025 to March 9, 2025, the asphalt overlaying activities will be carried out from March 14 to 16, March 21 to 23, and March 28 to 30, 2025 over the weekend to minimize disruptions in traffic flow.
Motorists are advised of potential traffic slowdowns in the affected areas, and are encouraged to utilize other lanes as alternative routes. Once fully completed, closed portions of affected lanes will be passable to motorists the next day.
This project is part of DPWH-NCR’s commitment to elevating road safety and efficiency, not just in Malate, Manila, but throughout the roadways in the region.
