Prigozhin says he was ‘joking’ about Bakhmut ceasefire

RUSSIA’s Wagner boss said he had only been joking when he offered to suspend artillery fire on Ukrainian Forces in Bakhmut.

Yevgeny Prigozhin’s press office recently released an audio message saying that Wagner decided to suspend artillery fire for U.S. journalists.

“We’re doing our military work in the HQ. The information comes in that ‘Cerberus’, the commander of the 57th AFU Brigade, is bringing American journalists to Bakhmut. We decided to stop the work of artillery so that American journalists could calmly film Bakhmut and go home.”

“The press is a holy thing. They’re, in some sense, also military correspondents.”

“Greetings from ‘Cerberus’ from the boys, but don’t pull in reserves. You’re scamming us if you bring reserves together with the journalists,” voice of Yevgeny Prigozhin, Wagner Chief.

But later, he revealed that it was just military humor, and criticized the media.

“We got the information to the HQ that American journalists are moving from Chasov Yar to Bakhmut with ‘Cerberus’, the commander of the 57th AFU Brigade, whom we hunt for a while now and can’t catch him so far.”

For laughs! I announced to the media, all media releases such titles like “Prigozhin stopped the fire,” “Wagner allows American journalists to enter the city,” “Attack on Bakhmut is paused,”

“Guys, it’s humor. Military humor, nothing more. Take it more positively and calmly. We have terrible propaganda. We all went crazy with that propaganda. It was a joke.”

“Now, seriously, about the problems, the media should think about what they release to the people. For days, we try to find at least something positive,” voice of Prigozhin, Wagner Chief.

Meanwhile, on a serious note, the Russian defense ministry recently claimed that their paratroopers and air forces are preventing the deployment of Ukrainian reserves in Bakhmut.
