THE Philippine Sports Commission successfully conducted the 2024 PSC – Indigenous Peoples Games – Luzon leg in Salcedo, Ilocos Sur.
A total of 271 participants among 14 municipalities filled the festivities with strength and passion in performing traditional games, carrying out the objective of unifying generations in preserving the nation’s rich cultural heritage.
Comm. Matthew ‘Fritz’ Gaston graced the IP – Luzon tilt with Ilocos Sur Governor Jerry Singson and Salcedo Mayor Ninya Gironella – Itchon.
“Sa bawat hakbang, ngiti, pagkapanalo at pagkabigo, nais kong tandaan niyo na hindi lamang simpleng paglalaro ang nais nating maipakita rito, bagkus ay ‘yung mapahalagahan natin ang karapatan at kultura ng ating Indigenous People,” Gaston said.
